Yes, it takes six words to describe this cookie — that's just how exceptional it is. We could tell you all about it, but we'll let Alex take over, because his Google review says it better than we could:

"I had the chance to taste Pepilou's gooey dark chocolate cookie, and it's a real revelation. The texture is perfect: crisp on the outside, generously gooey on the inside. The dark chocolate, intense and rich, pairs beautifully with the softness of the dough. It's all homemade, gluten-free, and you immediately taste the quality of the chosen ingredients. An indulgent treat that goes well beyond the usual standards — at once refined and comforting. A must for lovers of chocolate and artisan pastries."

About Pepilou's pastries

Pepilou's pastries contain simple, genuine ingredients. It's these ingredients from nature, their quality and our craft that make it possible to achieve truly flavourful pastries.

We use, among others: almonds, hazelnuts, coconut flour, coconut milk, maple syrup, coconut sugar, fresh fruit, and so on.

Nothing refined, nothing tampered with — always the choice of 0% additives and "junk".

Sugar is part of the pleasure — leaving it out is out of the question. That said, we use it in moderation, partly for health reasons (to avoid sugar spikes in particular), and partly because we use natural, pure ingredients, so we don't need to over-sweeten. The real flavours are already there; there's no need to "dress them up" with sugar.

At Pepilou's, we've chosen unrefined sugars, for two main reasons:

  • they generally have a lower glycaemic index than refined sugar, which helps soften those well-known blood-sugar spikes;
  • they're more valuable nutritionally, since they contain certain nutrients — unlike refined sugar, which is an "empty" sugar.
